2016/2017 Concert Band

The Senior Concert Band is our premier performance group for Lake City Schools' Instrumental Music Program. The Concert Band performs 3 concerts annually; Winter, Spring, and Pops. Literature for the ensemble is selected according to the season and concert in preparation.

Student expectations for the concert band are very high. Music performed will be practiced as a group and individually to ensure a superior performance at concert time. The listening list and excerpts that will eventually be on this web-site are meant to help students practice and familiarize themselves with the music.

In order to make the ensemble the best it can be, at home practice of the concert music is expected by your Director. In addition it is much more fun to perform music we feel comfortable about!!

I encourage parents' to listen to the musical selections and work towards promoting at home practice with your student musician.
The simple process of setting away a small amount of weeknight or weekend time will make all the difference in a students' performance.

See you at the concert!

Mr. H.
