When and where do we vote?
The election is on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. The only location to vote is at Lincoln High School, 300 South Garden Street and the polls will be open from 7 am - 8 pm.
Absentee voting is available in the District office, located at 300 South Garden Street, during the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm

Why is the new gym being called a multipurpose performance space?
Because, it truly is a multipurpose performance space. It will be built to meet the needs of both our performing arts and athletics. This venue will be a huge improvement for patrons attending either of these events in the future.

Will the new gym be used for varsity games?
No. The new gym will host junior high games and be used for all performances at Bluff View. The bleachers in this gym will be set to maximize the viewing of the performance stage.

What are the new security measures that will be put in place if this referendum passes?
Bluff View would have a secured entrance, improved bus and car pickup and drop-off areas and security camera upgrades and additions.

Will my taxes increase if the value of my land/home increases?
Yes. The figures quoted are based on the value associated with them. If the value associated increases or decreases the tax collected will also increase or decrease.

How much do we owe on our previous bonds?
A little over $18 million, more information on this topic can be found in the supporting documents section under 20 year calculations (assumptions).
Bonds from this project will be "wrapped" with our previous bonds in order to keep the cost to our patrons as low as possible. Some of our previous bonds may be refinanced in the near future which would lead to increased savings that would be passed on to our patrons.

Can a child be in wraparound care (Tiger Time) all day?
No. Tiger Time during the school day will only be available to students that are enrolled in our 3 and 4-year-old early education classes. These students will be able to access Tiger Time opposite the time of their pre-school program.

How is the enrollment of our district doing?
Our enrollment is stable, there is a slight increase in our enrollmet this year over last year

Why is there a stage in the new gym?
The stage in the new gym will become the stage used for all performances at Bluff View. The old stage, which is part of the old cafeteria will be re-purposed into a dedicated space for our wrap around program (Tiger Time).

Why a new gym for the elementary?
Bluff View Elementary offers everyday physical education classes to our students in grades kindergarten - 6th grade. In order to continue to offer this programming, the gym that will be used by our pre-schoolers and students in enrolled in our wrap around care (Tiger Time) needs to be replaced.
