PLC’s at Lincoln

Lake City Public Schools has implemented Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) for staff development since 2009. PLC’s at the high school have teachers collaborating in teams of 5-7 teachers and focus on data collection, goal setting, action plans, curricular discussion, assessment protocols, and more.

Teachers in PLC’s meet once/month for two hours on a scheduled 2-hour late start. PLC’s have been instrumental in many of the strong academic results we have recently seen in Lake City.
